Collaboration/Voice/Network Engineer

The essential responsibilities of the Post-sales Voice Collaboration Engineer are to collaborate directly with customers, account executives and project managers in post-sales implementations and to work effectively across functions with other ComSource employees.

Voice/Collaboration Engineers are responsible for the Implementation and Support of Cisco Unified Collaboration Suite solutions for customers throughout New York State and the Northeast Region.

Job Summary:

The essential responsibilities of the Post-sales Voice Collaboration Engineer are to collaborate directly with customers, account executives and project managers in post-sales implementations and to work effectively across functions with other Comsource employees. Voice/Collaboration Engineers are responsible for the Implementation and Support of Cisco Unified Collaboration Suite solutions for customers throughout New York State and the Northeast Region. Expertise in working with Products Such as: Cisco Call Manager, Cisco Unity, Contact Center Express, Webex Calling, Webex Contact Center and a basic understanding of Cisco network technologies as it relates to the Collaboration suite.

 

Post-Sales Job Duties (Collaboration):

  • Serve as a technical expert for post-sales delivery.
  • Provide implementation, and support of Cisco voice solutions to include CUCM, UCCX, Unity Connection, Voice Gateways as well as Cisco Cloud calling platforms.
  • Troubleshooting and maintaining hardware/software products as well as upgrading and providing solutions to complex problems.
  • Knowledge of Cisco LAN switch configuration including Core, Distribution and Access layer topologies as it relates to the Cisco Collaboration Suites of products.
  • Knowledge of Cisco Firewalls and Routers.

 

What You Need to Be Successful:

  • 3-5 years’ experience with the Cisco Collaboration Products suite (UCCX, CUCM, Unity, etc.); ideally in equipment and system installation and configuration
  • Cisco training and/or certifications; CCNA Collaboration certification highly preferred
  • Experience working in Cisco Commerce Workplace (CCW)
  • Exceptional communication skills and experience presenting to executive level management team.
  • Self-driven and have a history in the Telecommunications field with both TDM and IP telephony, knowledge of Cisco’s Unified Collaboration portfolio (IP PBX, phones, voicemail, unified messaging, web collaboration, voice gateways, contact center suite, video) and/or competitive equivalent.
  • A background in large enterprises and/or large commercial accounts and an understanding of how to approach these projects within a client to drive an understanding and preference to Cisco’s Unified Collaboration solutions.
