Commvault Appoints New CEO


Today, February 5th, 2019, Commvault officially appointed Sanjay Mirchandani as President and Chief Executive Officer.

Some of you may be familiar with Mirchandani is his previous role as CEO of Puppet, the privately-held open-source software management and IT automation platform backed by tech giants VMware, Google Ventures and Cisco, alongside a who’s-who of the Palo Alto Venture Capital scene. Before his success in the software arena, Mirchandani held high-level positions both domestically and internationally at Microsoft, EMC and VMware.

Mirchandani takes the reigns over from the retiring Bob Hammer and Commvault looks to expand on its lead in the Data Protection & Recovery market.
